Ive never had a security tool lead to these predictable words regarding sensitive files being stored on unencrypted laptops as much as Identity Finder has. You may have seen Identity Finder in my previous post and related articles and presentations where Ive mentioned or demonstrated it. Identity Finder is a commercial product that IT and information security professionals can use to uncover files that are at risk on under-protected laptops - even the entire enterprise.

Check out Identity Finder. Its one of those good bang for the buck tools that can help you with information discovery, classification, leakage prevention or just to simply make the case that PII or intellectual property are not being protected the way they should be.
Theres a related tool I recently came across that you should check out as well called FOCA. FOCA (more specifically FOCA Free) is a data gathering tool you can use to seek out sensitive files on websites you may be testing. Its got a few little quirks but, compared to so many other free tools I try, it actually works. Heres a screenshot of its interface:
Im convinced that those of us in IT and infosec are no different than surgeons, carpenters or race mechanics. If we dont have the right tools for the task, were not going to accomplish all we need to accomplish. Consider adding Identity Finder - and FOCA - to your arsenal. They cant hurt!

Yes! This time, a serious hacktivism had been triggered by the Hacking group named "AnonSec" who made their presence in the cyber universe by previous NASA Hacks.
The AnonSec Members had allegedly released 276 GB of sensitive data which includes 631 video feeds from the Aircraft & Weather Radars; 2,143 Flight Logs and credentials of 2,414 NASA employees, including e-mail addresses and contact numbers.
The hacking group has released a self-published paper named "Zine" that explains the magnitude of the major network breach that compromised NASA systems and their motives behind the leak.
Here’s How AnonSec Hacked into NASA
The original cyber attack against NASA was not initially planned by AnonSec Members, but the attack went insidious soon after the Gozi Virus Spread that affected millions of systems a year ago.After purchasing an "initial foothold" in 2013 from a hacker with the knowledge of NASA Servers, AnonSec group of hackers claimed to pentested the NASA network to figure out how many systems are penetrable, the group told InfoWar.
Bruteforcing Admins SSH Password only took 0.32 seconds due to the weak password policy, and the group gained further indoor access that allowed it to grab more login information with a hidden packet sniffing tool.
They also claimed to successfully infiltrate into the Goddard Space Flight Center, the Glenn Research Center, and the Dryden Research Center.

Hacker Attempted to Crash $222 Million Drone into the Pacific Ocean
Three NAS Devices (Network Attached Storage) which gathers aircraft flight log backups were also compromised, rapidly opening a new room for the extended hack:Hacking Global Hawk Drones, specialized in Surveillance Operations.
Hackers have tried to gain the control over the drone by re-routing the flight path (by Man-in-the-Middle or MitM strategy) to crash it in the Pacific Ocean, but…
…the sudden notification of a security glitch in the unusual flight plan made the NASA engineers to take the control manually that saved their $222.7 Million drone from drowning in the ocean.
This hacking attempt had happened due to the trivial routine of drone operators of uploading the drone flight paths for the next fly, soon after a drone session ends.
After this final episode, AnonSec lost their control over the compromised NASA servers and everything was set to normal by NASA engineers as before.
This marked the attacks magnitude at a steep height by infecting into other pipelines of NASA, leading to this nasty situation.
However, in a statement emailed to Forbes, NASA has denied alleged hacking incident, says leaked information could be part of freely available datasets, and there is no proof that a drone was hijacked.
“Control of our Global Hawk aircraft was not compromised. NASA has no evidence to indicate the alleged hacked data are anything other than already publicly available data. NASA takes cybersecurity very seriously and will continue to fully investigate all of these allegations.”
Why Did AnonSec Hack into NASA?

"NASA even has several missions dedicated to studying Aerosols and their affects (sic) on the environment and weather, so we targeted their systems."
And Heres What NASA was actually doing:
- Cloud seeding: A weather alteration method that uses silver iodide to create precipitation in clouds which results to cause more rainfall to fight carbon emission which ultimately manipulates the nature.
- Geoengineering: Geoengineering aims to tackle climate change by removing CO2 from the air or limiting the sunlight reaching the planet.
Similar projects are running on behalf of the US Government such as Operation Icebridge [OIB], Aerosol-Cloud-Ecosystem (ACE) which are dedicated to climate modeling.
This security breach would be a black label for the Security Advisory Team of NASA and became a warning bell to beef up the security.

We have been spending a lot of time recently on medications for ADHD. However, one question we should always be asking ourselves is: "Are medications always necessary?".

Nevertheless, I believe they are grossly under-utilized. After all, if a vitamin supplement gave the same results as an amphetamine-based drug, which one would you choose for you or your child? The answer is a no-brainer.
Based on a keynote article on Ritalin vs. supplement treatments for ADHD, which is frequently cited by the "natural cures for ADHD" crowd, we see compelling (albeit limited) evidence that natural supplementation can be as effective as Ritalin for treating ADHD. It sounds intriguing, but it is also important to note that too much weight is often placed on this study. Why? Because all of this information is based on the results of only 20 individuals (10 whom took the Ritalin and 10 who took the dietary supplements). Of course we should not discount the research because of a small sample size, but out of the millions who suffer from ADHD, do we really want to hinge a bunch of expectations on 20 individuals? Nevertheless, the results are worth reporting and are due much further investigation.
Here are 9 different possibilities cited by the article for nutritional deficiencies or environmental factors which could affect the onset of ADHD (I subdivided one of the categories, there are only 8 in the original article). I will list them here, and investigate each one in more detail in later posts:

- Protein-carbohydrate imbalances
- Mineral deficiencies or imbalances
- Fatty acid deficiencies or imbalances
- Amino acid deficiencies or imbalances
- Thyroid dysfunction and iodine deficiencies
- B vitamin deficiencies
- Antioxidant levels, including phytonutrients and polyphenols (found in fruits, vegetables, coffee, teas, wines, beer and a few other sources).

Asynchronous digital subscriber line (DSL or ADSL) modem is a device used to connect a computer or router to a telephone line which provides the digital subscriber line service for connectivity to the Internet, which is often called DSL or ADSL broadband. In this guide I will show you show you how to scan IP range for connected ADSL or DSL modem routers and find DSL ADSL router hack remotely. What’s in a DSL ADSL Router?
A DSL or ADSL router consists of a box which has an RJ11 jack to connect to a standard subscriber telephone line. It usually also has a USB jack which can be used to connect to computers via a USB cable, to allow connection to computers without an Ethernet port. A wireless DSL or ADSL router also has antennas to allow it to act as a wireless access point, so computers can connect to it forming a wireless network. Power is usually supplied by a cord from a wall wart transformer. It usually has a series of LED status lights which show the status of parts of the DSL or ADSL communications link:
- Power light – indicates that the modem is turned on and has power.
- Ethernet lights – There is usually a light over each Ethernet jack. A steady (or sometimes flashing) light indicates that the Ethernet link to that computer or device is functioning
- DSL or ADSL light – a steady light indicates that the modem has established contact with the equipment in the local telephone exchange (DSL or ADSLAM) so the DSL or ADSL link over the telephone line is functioning
- Internet light – a steady light indicates that the IP address and DHCP protocol are initialized and working, so the system is connected to the Internet
- Wireless light – only in wireless DSL or ADSL modems, this indicates that the wireless network is initialized and working
Almost every ADSL DSL modem router provides a management web-page available via Internal network (LAN or Local area network) for device management, configuration and status reporting. You are supposed to login to the management web-page, configure a username password combination provided by your ISP (Internet service provider) which then allows you to connect to internet. The network is divided into two parts:
External Network
External network indicates the part where ADSL DSL modem routers connects to upstream provider for internet connectivity. Once connected to the ISP via a Phone line (ADSL DSL Modem routers can use conventional Copper Phone lines to connect to ISP at a much higher speed), the router gets an IP address. This is usually a Publicly routable IP address which is open to the whole world.
Internal Network
Internal network indicates the part where devices in Local Area Network connects to the ADSL DSL modem router via either Wireless or Ethernet cable. Most modem DSL ADSL Modem routers runs a DHCP server internally which assigns an Internall IP address to the connected device. When I say device, this can be anything from a conventional computer, a laptop, a phone (Android, Apple, Nokia or Blackberry etc.), A smart TV, A Car, NAS, SAN, An orange, A banana, A cow, A dragon, Harry Potter … I mean anything that’s able to connect to internet! So you get the idea. Each device get’s it’s own IP address, a Gateway IP and DNS entries. Depending on different DSL ADSL Modem router, this can be slightly different, but the idea remains the same, the DSL ADSL Router allows users to share internet connectivity. These DSL ADSL Modem Routers are like miniature Gateway devices that can have many services running on them. Usually they all use BusyBox or similar proprietary Linux applications on them. You want to know what a DSL ADSL Router can do? Here’s a list of common services that can run on a DSL ADSL Modem Router:
- ADSL2 and/or ADSL2+ support
- Antenna/ae (wireless)
- Bridge/Half-bridge mode
- Cookie blocking
- DHCP server
- DDNS support
- DoS protection
- Switching
- Intrusion detection
- LAN port rate limiting
- Inbuilt firewall
- Inbuilt or Free micro-filter
- Java/ActiveX applet blocking
- Javascript blocking
- MAC address filtering
- Multiple public IP address binding

- Packet filter
- Port forwarding/port range forwarding

That’s a lot of services running on a small device that are configured by nanny, granny, uncle, aunt and the next door neighbour, in short many non technical people around the world. How many of those configured badly? Left ports open left right and center? Didn’t change default admin passwords? Many! I mean MANY! In this guide we will use namp to scan a range of IP addresses, from output we will determine which are DSL ADSL Routers and have left their Management ports open to External Network. (again read top section to know which one is a external network). A typical ADSL Router’s Management interface is available via following URL:
This is the Management page for DSL ADSL modem router and it’s always protected by a password. By default, this password is written below a DSL ADSL modem router in a sticker and they are one of these combinations: Username/Password
A lot of the home users doesn’t change this password. Well, that’s ok. It doesn’t hurt much cause this is only available via a connected device. But what’s not OKAY is when users open up their management to the external network. All you need to know what’s the Public IP address for your target and just try to access this management page externally.

The NAHBS is coming to the east coast, Virginia for that matter.
Velonews just announced the North American Handmade Bicycle Show is coming to Richmond, VA on February 26-28.
I am beside myself. Since almost the beginning of my bicycling career Ive been enamored with custom frames. It is just the ultimate culmination of two of my passions: cycling and making things. I just love the fact that you can make something. Actually anything whether it is a table, boxes, a fishing rod, a knife, but a bike, sheesh its my nirvana. Steel tubes, welding and paint. From a raw materials perspective, not much, but designed right its just a thing of beauty.
My very first local hero of cycling in Davis, CA was a local expert mountain bike racer, Kurt. Kurt, the ex..pert was the saying. Super super nice guy who helped me get into racing and would always offer tips on training and riding. Enough so that I forgive him for trying to shift my truck into reverse when going 55mph on the highway. He wasnt that good at driving stick and was going for the 5th gear overdrive and went to reverse instead. I also forgave him for taking us on a incredible epic without telling us how much food to bring. All I remember was this other guy, Mike, getting all pissed off at Kurts goofy smile and happy go lucky comments after 4 or 5 hours. Every time Kurt opened his mouth to say something, Mike would immediately talk over him and say..."Shortest way home, Kurt... Shortest way home".
Anyway, Kurt had a Rock Lobster hardtail. They were all hardtails back then. Deep burgandy with yellow decals with black letters. Man I loved that bike.
Years later when I finally had a little money, I decided to get a new frame. Turns out that I do not fit the typical mold. Ive got long legs and short torso, in fact my inseam is similar to some people 3-4 inches taller than me. So I decided to go the custom route and got a BREW. In fact got my wife one too.
Over the years I got a second BREW, went through a lugged road bike phase then a single speed cross phase, but I didnt design the geometry right on that, otherwise I would have kept it. Somewhere in there, I scored a custom Ti road frame on ebay. That might have been a keeper except the top tube was just too long and a short stem would not cut it, as it threw the handling off for my extremely fine tuned senses. I also didnt care for the feel of the Ti. It was light for sure and it definitely muted some of the road buzz, but no joke, to me it didnt have this little bit of liveliness that a good steel frames has.
And then moved to a TIG welded road frame. Which is my current love. That bike has hit the spot for the time being. Sometimes I want to not like a frame after a period of time so that I can justify going for a new one. This one is pretty darn perfect. But the wonderful thing is that the frame is the heart and everything else can be swapped on it to create a virtually new bike. A repaint, new wheels, a new shock, and you gotta new bike.
I think my favorite is the TIG welded frame, hardtail mtb and road. There is something really clean looking and utilitarian about it. But there is also a beauty to the lines of a good frame. Sometimes Ill be in the garage or basement where the bike is on a trainer and Ill just look at it. For several minutes at a time.
Years ago there were only a handful of builders and hardly any dedicated mountain bike builders. Recently, with the advent of the internet and resurgence of things like the single speed, 29ers, 650Bs, free ride-hardtails, hipster bikes, dedicated commuting bikes, beach/snow bikes, cyclocross...custom frames are in a golden age.
Youd think that with so many production companies out there who now offer many options in sizing that you wouldnt need to go custom unless you just wanted to. But take my road bike for example. Its got a 49cm Seat tube length (c-c) but only a 51.5 effective top tube length. Most road bikes that have that short a top tube, have much shorter seat tubes. I also got an upsloping top tube and a 14cm head tube length so that I wouldnt have to use one of those high rise stems in order to get the bars high enough for my inflexible back and hamstrings.
My wife is very petite, and even with the proliferation of womens specific road bikes, there are still few options for frames. There is still a market for customs from a hard to fit perspective, but its really about 1) having something that few others have; 2) supporting a small company/one person; 3) being able to bug someone on email every other day about the tiniest detail of the location of a cable stop and the gold fleck on the clear coat. Frame builders consider many potential customers and many of their actual customers to be time toilets, cause bike geeks can suck a lot of time from someone, and a $500 deposit is license for a desk jockey to email every day about their frame.
Id love to go to framebuilding school. There are a few other classes around the country and lots of online resources and some out of print books. Its one of those Im going to go sometime things, just got to find the time and allocate the funds. My bucket list is pretty much Go to frame building school.
Right now I want a single speed mountain bike. This is probably a passing fad and after a few weeks on Brush mountain Id be over it. But Ive tried the chain tensioner route and want a real singlespeed. I also want a commuter built on my road bike geometry.
I daydream about building and selling frames but highly doubt Id like to do that for a living, rather Id like to build a few a year... No hipster bikes though.

If industry gossips are to be considered and the reports flooding the websites you would get to see Neha Sharma with Arjun Kapoor doing romance on screen. The lead lady of Tum Bin 2 i.e. Neha Sharma & Arjun Kapoor are to be seen together in a comedy set against the backdrop of a wedding. Its a pivotal special appearance, in associated with the mood of the film that also features Arjuns uncle Anil as his reel uncle.
To be directed by Anees Bazmee, the film features Arjun in a double role, with Athiya Shetty and Ileana DCruz playing his two leading ladies. But there were all buzz going and now the hunt for the third girl in the story is over. Though a small part, but important to the narrative.
The role that Neha enacts is that of a girl who will briefly romance one of Arjuns two characters. Talks are in advanced stages with Neha. All modalities are being worked out, as in words of a production hand.
As Neha mentioned in a talk that she was disappointed as her first Bollywood venture didn’t go well, we at CRB Tech Reviews wish luck and success to the pretty damsel with her upcoming release and other Bollywood ventures to follow.
If all things go well, Neha is supposed to join the cast next week in and around Delhi, followed by a schedule in London early next year. Till we write this blog, there have been no confirmations from either Neha or the producers as neither chose not to respond.
For now we can await "Tum Bin 2" coming soon and eager to watch if it could retain or add more magic to the first installment i.e. Tum Bin. Tum Bin 2 is the sequel of Tum Bin and is a romantic drama film that is slated to release on 18th November in the theaters. It has been produced under the T- series banner. It features Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati in lead roles.
We are really eager and await the release and we suppose the same with you all. The beautiful Neha is already doing rounds in glam news and gossips.

The new banknotes of Rs 500 and Rs. 2000 are distinctive in the premises of series in colour, size, theme, a ground of security features and design element. The Reserve Bank of India is going to bring forward Rs. 2000 denomination banknotes in relevance to Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series. It will delineate the Image of Red Fort with Indian flag on the reverse side.

The amount of energy available in the Earth system to be extracted by wind-turbines is limited, and if sufficient energy is removed the world climate will be affected. These striking conclusions follow from a recent analysis (http://www.earth-syst-dynam.net/2/1/2011/esd-2-1-2011.html) reported from the University of Jena in Germany. Humans use energy in total at a rate of 17 TW (terawatts), 87% of which is provided by fossil fuels. In the effort to mitigate carbon emissions and climate-change, sources of carbon-free renewable energy are sought, particularly wind-power. From a simple engineering perspective, the more wind-turbines are placed around the globe, the more energy can be extracted, with no particular effect on the overall energy of the atmospheric flow.
From the various simulations used it was inferred that between 18 - 68 TW of mechanical wind power can be extracted from the atmospheric boundary layer, taken over all non-glaciated land surfaces. While a single wind-turbine does not affect the global atmosphere, the installation of a large number of such devices will interfere with the atmospheric circulation and diminish the extraction efficiency on the large scale, since any extraction of momentum will act in competition with natural wind-power energy dissipation by turbulence in the boundary layer.
The amount of extractable energy evaluated using this "top-down" thermodynamic approach is significantly smaller than has been estimated using "bottom-up" engineering models based on wind turbine characteristics and wind velocity measurements which give values up to 1700 TW. If wind-energy were extracted on the scale of human demand for energy (17 TW), amounting to 50 -95% of the total energy available, significant climatic effects are predicted. These are a result of increased turbulence and entrainment of air at higher altitudes by the simulated turbines. At higher altitudes the air is potentially warmer and heats the air nearer to the surface by mixing with it. The warming effect is similar to that predicted from an elevation of the atmospheric CO2 concentration to 720 ppm.
While presently only 0.03 TW of energy was extracted from wind in 2008, and there is room for a considerable expansion of this technology with relatively insignificant effects on the climate, any future expansion on the global scale must take account that the potential for extraction of wind energy is finite according to the nature of the Earth system. It is thought too that as the atmospheric CO2 concentration increases, as it must with the continued burning of fossil fuels, the kinetic energy generation from the atmosphere will decrease thus further diminishing the amount of energy that may be sensibly extracted by wind-turbines on the very large scale.

Depending on your fracture, doctors will probably put a bandage or a fiberglass or plaster cast on your fracture. Then they will give you pain killers and tell you to let the bone heal naturally for two to three months. However, at home, you can do following:
- Eat fresh pineapple everyday. Pineapple is rich in Bromelain, an enzyme that helps reduce inflammation. If you can’t find fresh pineapples, you can take the supplement Bromelain.
- Take calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin K and boron. They are essential in repairing bone damage.
- Take vitamin D as it aids in clacium absorption.
- Take vitamin C as it helps in the formation of collagen.
- Take zinc to help repair tissue damage.
- Eat foods that are rich in calcium and other nutrients needed for calcium’s assimilation such as sea vegetables, green leafy vegetables (kale, romaine lettuce and other collard greens), soybeans (tofu, miso), nuts, molasses, salmon, oysters, sardines, broccoli and unsweetened yogurt.
- Essential fatty acids are important also and can be found in walnuts, almonds, flaxseeds, and fish.
- Avoid red meat and products containing caffeine as they increase calcium excretion. Sugar and high intake of salt contribute also to bone loss.
- Avoid eating food with preservatives. They conatin phosphorus which can lead to bone loss.
- Stop smoking. Smoking slows the blood flow to the bones, thus slows down the healing process.
- Stop drinking. Alcohol slows the formation of the new bone cells.
