Camtasia Insert Clip Into Timeline

I just wanted to update this thread to mention that yesterday we released camtasia studio 8.0.3 which improves the ability to insert clips into the timeline. 8.0.3 is a free update for anyone who owns camtasia studio 8; just open camtasia and click help > check for updates.. 1.open camtasia studio. 2. click import media and choose a video. 3.again click import media and choose a song. 4.move video and song to timeline.. Hold down the shift key, while dragging a media clip on the timeline. the clips to the right will "shift" (a.k.a. "ripple") along with it, and the clips to the right maintain their spacing. 2. to create or collapse space on multiple tracks... ctrl + click on the leftmost clip on each track that you wish to move..

Camtasia’s audio effects help you quickly add audio points, create fade effects, and make other common changes to audio clips. choose the audio effects tab and drag an effect to a video or audio clip. then, use the options in the audio properties panel to adjust the effect.. Once again, if i wanted to i could edit this clip. i could resize it, i can move it around. let's go ahead and add one more. i'm going to go ahead and add the voiceover here. just drag it down to the timeline and voila, camtasia makes a new track for me. now i have a voiceover, i've got sound effects, i've got music, and i've got my video..
